Two identical-looking split units can differ by hundreds of riyals in service cost, because price follows access, condition and parts - not just capacity. Use the ranges below to sanity-check a quote, then send us your AC details for an exact figure.
Cleaning and washing
| Service | Typical range (SAR) | What is included |
| Split AC chemical wash (per unit) | 150 – 250 | Filter and blower clean, coil chemical wash, drain flush, outdoor coil rinse, performance test |
| Window AC wash | 100 – 180 | Unit removal, coil and fan wash, drain tray clean, refit |
| Duct / central AC cleaning | 400 – 900 | Depends on the number of indoor units and duct access |
| Floor-standing or cassette unit | 200 – 350 | Deeper access, more panels to remove |
Indicative ranges for Jeddah, October 2026. Confirm the current price for your unit on WhatsApp before booking.
Refrigerant and leak work
| Service | Typical range (SAR) | Notes |
| Gas top-up, R22 | 200 – 350 | Older units; leak test included |
| Gas refill, R410A / R32 | 250 – 450 | Charge by weight after vacuum; leak test included |
| Leak detection and braze repair | 250 – 600 | Depends on where the leak is and whether piping must be opened |
| Copper piping, per metre | 60 – 120 | Insulated ASTM copper; price follows pipe size |
The single biggest factor is whether a leak is repaired. Topping up a leaking system is the most common way to waste money on AC in Jeddah.
Repairs and parts
| Item | Typical range (SAR) | Notes |
| Diagnosis / callout | 50 – 150 | Often adjusted against the repair if you proceed |
| Run capacitor | 150 – 250 | Part plus fitting; the most common repair we do |
| Fan motor | 350 – 650 | Indoor or outdoor, brand dependent |
| Control board (PCB) | 400 – 1,200 | Inverter boards cost more; original parts take longer |
| Compressor replacement | 900 – 2,000 | Includes drier, vacuum, recharge and disposal |
Genuine parts cost more than compatible ones. Ask which you are being quoted, and what warranty comes with it.
Installation, shifting and removal
| Service | Typical range (SAR) | Notes |
| Split AC installation (standard) | 300 – 600 | Up to 3 m pipe run; brackets and electrical extra |
| Uninstall and refit at a new address | 400 – 800 | Includes gas pump-down and reconnection |
| Dismantle only | 150 – 300 | Gas recovered where possible |
What pushes a quote up
- Access. High-wall units above stairwells, ceiling cassettes, units behind heavy furniture or on a roof need more time and sometimes two technicians.
- Condition. A unit that has never been washed takes far longer than one on an annual plan; heavy scale and matted dust are labour, not parts.
- Number of units. Multi-unit visits get a better per-unit price because travel and setup are shared.
- Parts. Original manufacturer parts versus compatible equivalents, and whether the part is in stock locally.
How to avoid paying twice
- Ask for the diagnosis findings and the pressures before agreeing to a gas refill.
- Insist on a leak test with a refill - a refill without one is a repeat visit on a timer.
- Ask for parts and labour as separate lines, so you can see what you are buying.
- Ask what warranty covers the part and the workmanship separately.
- Book the wash before summer, not during the first 45 °C week, when every company is at capacity.
Prices above are indicative for Jeddah and are reviewed periodically. The exact price for your unit is confirmed on WhatsApp before a technician is dispatched - no work begins without your agreement.
What should never appear on the bill
- Gas as part of a wash. Cleaning and refrigerant are separate jobs; bundling them hides whether you needed gas at all.
- A "diagnosis fee" charged twice. One visit, one diagnosis charge.
- Parts with no brand or model. Ask for the part number and whether it is original.
- Work added without agreement. Any extra should be quoted and approved before it starts.
How multi-unit pricing works
Travel, setup and cleanup are the fixed part of any AC visit, so a second and third unit at the same address cost less per unit than the first. A villa with four splits on one visit is substantially cheaper per unit than four separate bookings - and it is better for the units, because they are washed on the same schedule.
If you manage several properties, an annual plan with two visits per year costs less than reactive calls and keeps cooling performance stable through the summer peak, when every company is booked out.
